Religious Education

 The parish is the center of faith formation for Catholics. Every person in your pews, every Catholic in your parish community…child or adult…is on their own journey toward Christ and a life of discipleship.

Religious Education for grades K-12 strives to teach the essential traditions and doctrines of the Catholic faith, and to journey with the children and their parents in their lifelong relationship with God. We place a special emphasis on participation in the Mass and the need to care for and respect others. Since parents are in integral part of this ministry, they are also offered opportunities to deepen and strengthen their relationship with God.

Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist  is a two year process. Usually, the first grade year is the first year of sacramental preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist. Usually, the second grade year is the second year of preparation. However, there is no set grade limits for being prepared and ready to receive sacraments.

Students receiving Confirmation are to receive the sacrament at the end of their 10th grade year. The sacramental preparation is to be a two (2) year process beginning in the 9th grade.
